Looking to the future of the Ministry:
We have secured Joshua Ministry as a Texas corporation and are in the process of obtaining our non-profit status, 501c3. (total startup cost approx. $2000).
Enos started a Farmer’s Sacco in the village of Bukura. This is a co-op that provides funding for business ventures in farming and volume wholesale buying of seed for planting. They will provide training for their members on how to sustain their farms and grow them, so they are a sustainable food source for their families as well as resources for the community. Joshua Ministry Kenya is partnering with the Sacco providing the location of training that will take place every two months. Providing the food for this training time, compensation for the trainer from the local agricultural college. During this time, we will also have a teaching of God’s word and message, edifying the body of Christ. This is an awesome opportunity to walk with the village in training them practically and spiritually. (approx. $200/per meeting).
We’re in the process of providing kitchen gardens to 15 elementary schools in the Bukura area. This will provide an agricultural exercise for young students in growing food and selling it. The proceeds will be used to purchase necessary school supplies. The project will sustain future income and training to students. (approx. $1500 for the 1st year for all 15 gardens). We received $1000 and have started this process. We still need an additional $500 to complete.
Pastor meetings & discipleship opportunity. There are many different denominations in the Bukura area. Our vision is to meet once a month with 20 pastors to pray and seek God’s wisdom for unity and discipleship. We would provide a meal and refreshments during this time and explore how Joshua Ministry can walk side by side with them to accomplish this. (approx. $125/month)
We have secured a vehicle that can withstand the bad road conditions in the village. We were able to put down $9,000 and are in need of an additional $9,000 to pay-off the balance due January 2025. We trust God will provide.
