Blog #6 2026 On Saturday, 8/29, we visited the school to check its progress. Although the roof was installed, multiple areas were still open. We had assumed this would have been finished as a part of the rebuild, but we learned that this required additional funding. After receiving the cost estimate, we were able to fund the additional work. The walls and roof are now fully intact and enclosed. Wednesday, 8/19 we showed the Jesus film at the Salvation Army Youth Rally where around 550 young people were in attendance. The power was off and they had arranged a generator, so we were able to still show the film. As usual, the power came back on near the end of the showing. On Thursday, 7/30, we shopped for some of the provisions needed for hosting the fundraising event. We shared in the cost with Enos and the school. That evening, we visited a neighbor in honor of their father’s death. We had a wonderful time visiting with the family and guests. We will attend the funeral on Saturday. As mentioned in our first 2026 post, we experienced unusually long travel delays on this trip. A couple of days ago, we received an unexpected email from Air France informing us that we were eligible and would receive 600.00 Euros in compensation based on European travel laws. Praise God!
